Candle Care & Safety
Candle Care & Safety
Candles have a memory melt pool, meaning it is essential to allow enough time for the wax to melt entirely to the edges of the container to get the most out of your candle. This will prevent the wax from tunnelling and maximize the candle's lifespan. On the first burn, it can take up to 3-4 hours to achieve this; subsequent uses usually take 2-3 hours.
For a longer-lasting and flicker-free candle, trim the wick to 5mm before each burn to regulate the wax burn rate and prevent mushrooming.
Avoid burning for more than 4 hours at a time.
Extinguish when the candle has less than 1cm of wax left.
Place the candle on a stable surface away from flammable objects before lighting it.
Never leave a burning candle unattended.
Keep candles out of reach of children and pets.
Handle vessels with care: the painted colour on the glass can scratch easily, they also become very hot when lit.
Labels are made from recycled materials, they're not waterproof, take care not to get wax on them.
Reuse of vessel: to repurpose your candle vessel, sit the candle in a dish of warm water to melt the leftover wax, empty it out then rinse with a sponge and soapy water. Soak the vessel in water for a few minutes more to remove the label, do not use a sharp object as this will scratch the vessel. It may take a few minutes, but the entire label, including stubborn glue will come off; use a sponge.
We are working to source the option of having refills for our vessels in the near future, we will make an announcent via socials when we are able to.
